Out of the founder’s passion for furniture design and timber products, Inception Design and Trading Sdn Bhd (IDT) was born. First commenced operations in 2010, our office is located at Sungai Buloh, a town in Selangor state, Malaysia. We began with the design and manufacturing of bedroom furniture.

In 2012, through a partnership with Malaysia Timber Industry Board (MTIB) and Malaysia Timber Council (MTC), we participated in international exhibitions and roadshows to connect with local and overseas buyers. Since then, we built relationships and gained recognition, and our furniture range has been extended to living and dining.

In 2014, a 3000 square feet showroom was built to demonstrate our products and latest design.

In 2017, on a visit to Indonesia, we were amazed by their outstanding array of solid wood furniture as well as traditional crafts, then we immediately recognized the ability to integrate those elements into our product design. Over the years, we saw an increase in awareness of quality solid wood furniture among consumers, thus our focus has been revolving around research and development of furniture using quality wood, particularly for our dining and home office furniture series.

Today, Inception has grown into one of Malaysia’s leading solid wood furniture manufacturers. Our products have reached over 40 countries around the world, with primary audiences from South Africa, UAE, India, Australia, and Singapore.
